A Snake Awareness and bite mitigation workshop was conducted for Police Training Centre, Indore. More than 2000 police trainees and officers were educated on snakes, snake bite protocol, wildlife protection act with respect to snakes, and anti poaching. ARPF would like to thank entire management team of PTC for having us at the centre for second consecutive year and helping us make a difference. International Tiger Day was celebrated by conducting educational inter school wildlife quiz competitions across the state. Nearly 3000 students from 20 schools were benefited from the sessions. Around 500 fruit bearing plants were planted to make an Eco Zone at Indore zoo park for birds. The initiative was taken up as part of ARPF's Green Warrior Club activity. ARPF - Indore along with Indore Zoo conducted a young zoo keeper workshop for students to educate them about ex situ conservation. Around 20 kids were part of the workshop and learnt about zoo managment and wildlife. Every year ARPF celebrates Diwali with underprivileged kids from orphanages. From distributing sweets, singing/dancing with them to special fun session on wildlife and education, these kids are true bundle of joy to make your festival special. As part of World Elephant Day, an awareness talk on mega herbivorous and documentary on Elephant Never Forget was screened for visitors by team ARPF Indore. An Awareness show on Snakes and Reptiles were conducted for NCC camps and Police Training School by ARPF. Around 500 NCC cadets and 1500 Police Officers were trained as part of the mega education program. As part of Global Tiger Day celebrations, ARPF Indore/Hyderabad conducted tiger awareness session at Indore zoo and Matrushri School , Hyderabad. Kids were engaged in various educational activities such as Wildlife quiz competition, poster making, drawing competition etc. Both kids and visitors at the zoo were later made aware about tiger conservation and facts about tigers. Everyone was thrilled and enjoyed the tiger awareness talk where they also got to witness the tiger feeding at the kraal. |
