All latest updates of our little champ treatment!
Day 1 :
Got a Turtle rescue call from a kind human working at ICRISAT. The turtle seems to have been crushed by a vehicle and got multiple shell fracture and swollen internal injuries. With initial first aid and minor surgery we were able to control the internal bleeding and the injury bloody loss. We were also able to fix around 30% of the fractured shell and have temporarily put around a plaster for regular administration of drugs. The little guy is right now on pain killer and in terrible condition. We will wait for the swelling to reduce so that we can fix the broken shell completely using Medication plaster.
What is even more bad is that the lady was trying to get help and contacted various major organization and hospitals but were turned down saying they cannot assist or do not know how to treat the turtle. Though his survival chances are less we promise to give in our best efforts.
We would like to request you all to kindly pray for the poor guy! Your blessings and prayers is all he needs at this time to get out this terrible condition. He is right now on pain killer drugs and tonight progress will be crucial for his survival. We will give our best and keep you posted on his recovery status.
We would like to specially thank Dr. Uttam Yadav, Director Indore zoo for being with us on conference during the whole first aid operation and Mohd. Zaheer our Prl. Secretary for assisting and documenting the same.

Day 2/ Treatment Update:
Here are few snaps from the busy day our lil Champ had today! While we are yet to select a name for him, we are absolutely humble to have received so many suggestions, love and wishes for him.
Lil champ to Hospital today to get his Xray and IR therapy done. While we are still unsure about the impact of internal damage done we are glad to announce that his spine and bones are intact with minor bruises and swelling. We were able to fix and join medically 1/4 of his broken shell and he is currently shifted to his new pen which is busy exploring at the moment. We will keep you all posted on his progress. Till then watch out for his first video trying to crawl in his new pen post surgery!

RIP little Champ!
Farewell Champ!
With deep sadness we wish to inform you all that our rescued turtle breathed his last at around 5 pm today. Little champs condition deteriorated today morning and he went into hypovolaemic shock resulting in multiple organ failure. Excess of blood loss during the accident and generalized formation of gangrene caused his death. While we did everything we could to help him get out of the injury, we must admit that the little guy fought very hard for his survival. His internal organ infection and blood loss was always a matter of concern from the starting but his curious movements and smile gave us the strength to always keep the hope alive till the end.
We would like to thank all of you for your wonderful support, concerns and prayers which helped him not die in pain. He came to us as a blessing and taught us so many things to keep us motivated and not lose hope till the end. We promise to always continue our work with the same dedication and passion.
Thank you once again for all your support and encouragement.
Farewell little champ! You will be missed.
